3 worst plays from Baker Mayfield’s dreadful Week 1
By Mark Powell
3. Turnovers
Mayfield got off to a brutal start with an interception in the first quarter to Humphrey, as he missed the linebacker dropping back into coverage. After the ball was tipped, Humphrey was able to pick it off with ease, setting up the Ravens to extend their early lead. Baltimore never looked back, and that’s not necessarily surprising given their 14-2 mark just last season. Against really good teams, Mayfield’s struggles are highlighted even more than usual. The AFC North has plenty of those capable defenses, with the Pittsburgh Steelers featuring one of the best in football. This won’t be the last of Baker’s issues if he doesn’t clean up his Week 1 mess.
