Cameron Jordan can apparently get away with punching people in games.

The referees didn’t do their job by missing Cameron Jordan punching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This was egregious and shameful. He needed to be ejected from the game for this blatant punch to the back of someone lying on the ground. The league needs to fine Jordan an absurd amount of money and not let him play in Week 2 vs. the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.

How can this game’s referees possibly miss this dirty of a play by Jordan?

There’s no way to defend this, no matter who big of a fan you are in Who Dat Nation. He’s a professional and shouldn’t have to use his fist to voice his frustration. He can let it out by tackling a guy or bringing 43-year-old Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady to the turf. While we can’t say Jordan is a dirty player, this was a dirty play and we all saw it. Try changing our minds on this.

This game between the New Orleans Saints and the Buccaneers has gotten especially chippy. Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore had to be separated later for fighting. With these two teams in line to contend for the NFC South division title, the stakes are incredibly high right away in this Week 1 ball game. Expect more chippiness.
