The 2019 season ended with a thud for the reigning AFC East champions and the club looked to avoid a third straight loss (including the wild card setback to the Titans) when they hosted the Miami Dolphins. New starting quarterback Cam Newton attempted just 19 passes but hit on 15 of them for 155 yards. Meanwhile, he ran 15 times for 75 yards and two scores and Bill Belichick’s ground attack rolled the Dolphins’ defense for 217 yards.

There was plenty of both good and bad from third-year quarterback Josh Allen, who helped Sean McDermott’s club kick off the season with the win over the Jets for the second consecutive year. He ran 14 times for 57 yards and one score, plus hit on 33-of-46 throws for 312 yards and two touchdowns. But he was sacked three times and also lost both of his fumbles. Buffalo’s impressive defense shackled New York to the tune of 254 total yards.

. 1-0. Previous: . Baltimore Ravens. 4. team. 26

The team that scored the most points (531) in the league in 2019 picked up where it left off, at least during the regular season. NFL MVP Lamar Jackson connected on 20 of his 25 throws for 275 yards and three scores – two of those touchdowns to tight end Mark Andrews. Baltimore’s defense had a few issues against the run but did made life miserable for Kevin Stefanski in his NFL head coaching debut – forcing the Browns into three turnovers.
