3 cornerbacks Detroit Lions can sign to replace Justin Coleman

Another player that the DB-needy Raiders decided wasn’t worth the hassle, Randall remains a free agent despite recording four interceptions and 2.5 sacks over the last two seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
In his short NFL career, Randall has played nearly every defensive back position possible, and that chameleon-like ability to play anywhere a defensive coordinator asks could help him stand in for Coleman in Detroit.
Patricia, going back to his days under Bill Belichick, has always liked to mix and match defensive backs, forcing them to line up all over the secondary. Randall might not only be their best short-term option in the slot given his versatility, but he could end up being their best pure safety, as Duron Harmon is at his best dropping back into a deep zone and Will Harris was sliced apart by the Bears last week.
Randall’s value and pedigree should make him overqualified to be Coleman’s replacement.
