2. Arizona’s offensive line against Washington’s ferocious front

Washington’s NFL franchise may not have a mascot, but they do have a formidable pass rush. Chase Young looked like a readymade superstar in his NFL debut. Add it all up and Washington racked up eight sacks in their surprising win against the Eagles.

That doesn’t bode well for an Arizona offensive line that struggled to protect Kyler Murray a season ago. In fairness to the Cardinals, they come into this game on the back of a really impressive win against a quality 49ers squad. San Francisco was only able to get two sacks against the Cardinals on the afternoon.

If Washington is going to shock the NFL and go 2-0 their defensive line will have to be the difference. Young doesn’t have to do it all on his own, guys like Chase Kerrigan, Montez Sweat, and Matt Ioannidis were difference-makers against Philadelphia too.

The quality and quantity of Washington’s pass-rushing corps will put a lot of literal pressure on the Cardinals offensive line. D.J. Humphries and Kelvin Beachum will need to be particularly good at both tackle spots.

Expect Washington’s front to chase Murray around all game long. The key might be for the second-year quarterback to make as many plays with his legs as his arm in his Week 2 matchup.
