Fantasy Football 2020, Week 2 rankings: Who to start and sit
Start:
Jonathan Taylor, IND, vs. MIN
Jonathan Taylor had an interesting debut in the NFL. He only totaled 22 yards on 9 rush attempts, and yet finished with 14.9 fantasy points thanks to his surprising involvement in the passing game.
Now with Marlon Mack done for the season, Taylor has the reigns to be the top option as the Colts top rusher and you should expect him to deliver as soon as this week vs. Minnesota. Strictly for volume purposes, Taylor is a must-start RB2 in a possible shootout.
D’Andre Swift, DET, @ GB
D’Andre Swift should have had an even better debut. With one touchdown already in the box score, he dropped a go-ahead touchdown in the closing seconds against the Chicago Bears.
Swift will be trusted moving forward as a pass-catcher, even after the drop. Don’t be afraid to send him out there against Green Bay this week.
James Robinson, JAX, @ TEN
It’s actually impressive what undrafted free agent James Robinson did in his Jacksonville Jaguars. As the only Jag to get a carry on the day, he totaled 62 yards on 16 carries and also showed some chops in the receiving game as well. With a matchup against the Titans on the horizon, he could be a sneaky good flex this week and in future weeks.
Sit:
Cam Akers, LAR, vs. PHI
It could be the Malcolm Brown show in Los Angeles folks. At least, that’s what it seemed to be on Sunday night. Either way, Cam Akers is not a viable start option against a tough Philadelphia defense with no guarantee to get goal-line touches either.
Mark Ingram, BAL, @ HOU
Mark Ingram was pretty dismal for the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend as he watched J.K. Dobbins run two touchdowns in from the sideline. Don’t give up on Ingram yet, but place him on the bench until he finds a role in the offense.
Jordan Howard, MIA, vs. BUF
Jordan Howard saved his week by scoring at the goal line for Miami this past weekend. Otherwise, there was not much run for the former Chicago Bears running back and I don’t expect that to change against a top defense in Buffalo.
