College football DFS running back picks September 19:

Top Tier:

The same is true for Etienne as it is for Lawrence. There’s no way I’m paying more for him than Chuba Hubbard, who is a 200-yard rusher waiting to happen against Tulsa. Kyren Williams could be the best of the three against a USF front that is going to be bulldozed by the Irish.

The same thing is true of the Cincinnati backfield. The difference is that both Gerrid Doaks and Jerome Ford might be worth the price against Austin Peay. They already know what they have with Ridder. The Bearcats need to find out about the backfield. This is the perfect way to do that. For what it’s worth, Ford is listed as the starter right now.

Middle Tier:

David Bailey is an intriguing pick for me right now. Notre Dame was effective running the ball against Duke and the Eagles are a run-first team. The only thing giving me pause is I don’t know if they can keep the pressure off the run with their passing game. Notre Dame’s superior line didn’t hurt either. Bailey looks solid, but Duke still has a pretty good defense.

Clemson said they are going to “cut loose” Lyn-J Dixon against the Citadel. That sounds to me like something worth the $5,600 tag on him.

Bargain Shoppers:

Both Elijah Mitchell and Trey Ragas are worth the money against Georgia State. I’m going to run both of them in at least one lineup. If you’re only using one, I think I would lean towards the savings and use Ragas, but you can’t go wrong with either of them.

I don’t know if Vincent Davis is the next great Pitt back, but he’s going to look like it against Syracuse.

Myles Fells was the best Navy back in a lost cause against BYU. I still think I trust Carouthers more, but I do like the price on Fells. He’s dirt cheap.
