NBA DFS guard plays

Jamal Murray struggled in the regular season against the Lakers and early in both playoff series. He steps up huge when the stakes are highest. Let’s wait on that before deploying him.

Kemba hasn’t been all that good in the bubble. There’s enough other things going on in there to take the heat off of him, but that still doesn’t mean we should play him. Not when Jaylen Brown and Goran Dragic are blowing him off the court. Those are my top two guards once again.

Jimmy Butler had a nice Game 1, especially in crunch time. I just see Brown has having the higher ceiling and he’s cheaper anyway. Butler is a nice cash game play, but his only real purpose in GPP is to try and dodge ownership.

If for some reason you can’t pay up for Dragic, Tyler Herro is proving to be money on the playoffs as well. He believes that he can make any shot. His confidence is the reason that he and not Robinson or Nunn is having a huge effect on the playoffs.

Price doesn’t matter nearly as much at this stage, but Marcus Smart still feels overpriced, especially on DraftKings. Rajon Rondo is a MUCH better deal. Rondo’s price is better adjusted on FanDuel, but he’s still cheap enough to use. He’s an absolute theft on DraftKings.

Brad Wanamaker was huge in Game 1. That could be a trend in this series. Miami took Daniel Theis out of his game and the Celtics honestly looked a lot better running with more guards. They need to in this series. That points to Wanamaker being a pretty safe and high-upside value play.

If you need to go cheaper, I’m not opposed to Monte Morris. However, Wanamaker and Rondo are still much better values. Only punt with Morris on DK if you have no other options.
