The Bolts came away with a road win at Cincinnati last week and hosted the defending Super Bowl champions Chiefs. Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert was a surprise starter for Anthony Lynn’s club and he staked his team to a quick 7-0 lead. The Chargers would own an 11-point advantage in the third quarter but were outscored 17-3 the rest of the way. Meanwhile, Herbert threw for 311 yards and a score (1 interception) and ran for one touchdown.

Matt Nagy’s team rallied for 21 fourth-quarter points at Detroit last Sunday to stun the rival Lions. On Sunday, it was the Bears that took the early advantage via a 17-0 halftime lead. But Chicago would not score another point the rest of the afternoon and hung on for the win. Mitch Trubisky finished with 190 yards through the air and two scores but also served up a pair of interceptions and was sacked four times as the Bears hung on for the victory.

For the second time in two games with the Bucs, veteran quarterback Tom Brady committed a pair of turnovers. But he also threw for 217 yards and a score and was not sacked as Bruce Arians’ squad opened up a 21-0 halftime lead and would hold off the Panthers, who rallied in the second half. However, running back Leonard Fournette, who scored on a 46-yard run with 1:48 to play and finished the game with 103 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
