10 WR sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 2
By Dustin Baker
1. John Brown (BUF)
Game: Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (Sunday, 9/20,1:00 pm EST)
The Buffalo Bills have a storybook path to start the 2020 season. They were privileged to beat up on the undermanned New York Jets last week in Orchard Park and now fly down to Miami for, what figures to be, another beatdown of an inferior opponent.
John Brown will be on that plane, and so will quarterback Josh Allen who just had his very first 300+ yard passing game of his young career. Sooner or later, opposing defenses will learn that Stefon Diggs needs heightened defensive attention. When that happens, John Brown will be waving his hand in the air to be placated with targets.
That will start against the Miami Dolphins — a team that allowed passing touchdowns ad nauseam in 2019 (39, last in the NFL).
Plus, he had nearly 20 PPR points last week, and most of you won’t start him this week — until this recommendation.
2. DeSean Jackson (PHI)
Game: Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, 9/20,1:00 pm EST)
The Eagles had a 17-point lead against the Washington Football Team last weekend before they showed their buttocks. That’s right, Philadelphia stood idly as the Football Team tallied 27 unanswered points en route to a Week 1 stunning upset.
Carson Wentz and his Eagles are too talented to let this type of meltdown occur, no matter the number of names on the team’s injury.
For the Eagles to rectify their Week 1 discomposure, they need to put some points on the board vs. the 1-0 Rams. What better way to do that than to launch a few deep passes to DeSean Jackson. He’s made a lengthy career of receiving such passes.
Jackson will make an impact.
