3. Latavius Murray (NO)

Game: New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders (Monday, 9/21, 8:15 pm EST)

Murray is a top-five RB2 in the business if you glance at running-back depth charts around the NFL. His stablemate, Alvin Kamara, is a pass-catching back whereas Murray is a downhill-running son of a gun. From a playcalling perspective, it’s salt and pepper in the Saints backfield.

The Panthers face Kamara and Murray this week on Monday Night Football. In Week 1, Carolina was one of only three teams to allow north of three rushing touchdowns. What’s more, the Saints will likely be sans the services of wideout Michael Thomas, so they may look to pound the beef a bit more.

Murray should get some touches on Monday night.

4. James White (NE)

Game: New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks (Sunday, 9/20, 8:20 pm EST)

The first carryover from last week on this list — White gets the nod again predominantly because of his receiving acumen. Cam Newton found White three times last week aerially for a handful of yards and also gave him five rushing touches.

As Newton gets acclimated to his newfound weapons in New England, White will remain a steady focal point of emphasis. He isn’t overly prolific, but he is a stream of sure-handed consistency.

This probably won’t be the last time White makes the cut for this sleeper series.
