Adding Scotty Miller is a depth move. In deep leagues he can crack your lineup and fill a flex spot, or WR2 if you are that desperate early on.

Miller is the unknown member of the star-studded receiving group the Bucs boast. Only 23 years old in his second year in the NFL, Tom Brady targeted Miller six times in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints.

Brady looked to Miller quite a bit in that game and each time he did there seemed to be some success. Miller caught five of those six targets for 73 yards and he was the team’s second-leading receiver behind Chris Godwin.

In Week 2 against the Panthers, Miller was quiet. However, he did have chances for big gains, specifically a deep shot into the endzone that he dove for and missed.

No, Miller has not gone off for a massive fantasy return, but he has provided a respectable number of points that would go a far way in many league formats. There is some reluctancy to add him due to the presence of Godwin and Mike Evans, but he is an underneath threat who Brady seems comfortable with early on.

In Week 3, Miller and the Buccaneers will play the Denver Broncos. In their first game, the Broncos gave up 247 passing yards to the run-first Tennessee Titans, and 301 in Week 2 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Miller is a good add in Week 3 against the Broncos. He can be an underneath option who gets a mid-level volume of targets.
