The Raiders found a way to Raider, with a brutal fumble at the worst possible time

Derek Carr’s toss seemingly caught Jalen Richard by surprise, and the Raiders running back failed to secure the ball whatsoever. With that being the case, Richard put the ball on the turf when the Raiders needed literally anything but that to occur. The Saints came up with the fumble, and may have switched the momentum along with it after the Raiders had scored 17 straight points to take the lead in their debut (in front of no fans) in Las Vegas.

That ball is clearly loose, and Raiders fans, wherever they may be, are bashing their heads against a wall. Vegas may have won their first game of the season, but there’s a reason the Saints were favored heading into this primetime contest. New Orleans beat Tom Brady in his Tampa Bay debut, and were down to play spoiler again as the Raiders introduced themselves to Sin City.

It may not be so easy after all. But Al Davis’ slogan was “Just Win, Baby” for a reason, and regardless of how the Raiders pull out a victory (assuming that does indeed happen), Jon Gruden and Co. will take it. A win is a win, baby.
