Fantasy Football injuries: Week 3 waiver wire
Running backs weren’t the only players injured in Week 2. Here are the notable Wide Receiver injuries and what you can do to replace them on the waiver wire.
Notable Injuries:
Davante Adams: Yet another ankle injury to a star player, this time Davante Adams. No early timetable just yet for Adams. Early reports are it is minor and it shouldn’t affect playing time. Definitely something to monitor going forward.
Courtland Sutton: Brutal. Another torn ACL. Out for the year. What was already a bad start to the season with his shoulder injury, it gets even worse. So, while you likely had to find a fill-in for Week 1 (and maybe Week 2), you will now need that fill in for the rest of the season.
Sterling Shepard: Reports are that he suffered a turf toe injury. These can vary, but I would prepare for him to miss several weeks with this one. No initial timetable but 2-4 weeks is what we saw for Phillip Lindsay (also suffered a turf toe injury), so I would prepare for the same amount of missed time.
Parris Campbell: After week 1, Parris was looking like a draft day steal. Unfortunately in the first quarter, he was tackled and had to be carted off the field. Initially, I thought he would be out for the season. Reports are it is a PCL injury and he is out indefinitely. Judging by what I saw, he won’t be back anytime soon. Hopefully, for his sake, he can get back in uniform this year but it’s not looking great.
