Through the first two weeks of the 2020 NFL season, nobody has thrown for more yardage than Josh Allen of the unbeaten Buffalo Bills.

In the 2020 FanSided NFL quarterback rankings — which go live here every Tuesday morning throughout the regular season — we use a weighted average of current and past performances, with the former meaning more than the latter.

Away we go.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. Denver Broncos. Jeff Driskel. 32. player. 45

2020 stats: 256 yards | 52.9 completion % | 2 TDs | 1 INTs | 7.5 YPA | 54.6 QBR

Last Week: NA

Driskel made some excellent throws on Sunday in relief of Drew Lock. In fact, he was almost the hero late in Pittsburgh, before a final drive bogged down in the red zone. He starts at the bottom due to small sample size and history, but his performance was commendable against the Steelers.

31. Pick Analysis. New York Jets. Sam Darnold. 30. Scouting Report. QB. player

2020 stats: 394 yards | 62.7 completion % | 2 TDs | 1 INTs | 5.9 YPA | 44.3 QBR

Last Week: 31

The mechanics are bad. The vision is bad. The supporting cast is bad. It’s been ugly for Darnold to this point in his career, and through two games this year, nothing has changed. He’s a candidate for replacement come 2021.

QB. Dwayne Haskins. player. 58. Scouting Report. Washington Football Team. 30. Pick Analysis

2020 stats: 401 yards | 56.3 completion % | 2 TDs | 0 INTs | 6.3 YPA | 27.7 QBR

Last Week: 30

Haskins simply hasn’t been good. He completed less than 60 percent of attempts last year with a low YPA. We’ve started in the same place in 2020. Haskins has an anemic cast around him and hasn’t even played a full year’s worth of games, but early returns aren’t ideal.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 29. player. QB. Los Angeles Chargers. Justin Herbert. 13

2020 stats: 311 yards | 66.7 completion % | 1 TDs | 1 INTs | 9.4 YPA | 75.7 QBR

Last Week: NA

Herbert made his first NFL start with almost no prep and threw for 300 yards. Yes, some of the yards were fluff with a hook-and-ladder to end the first half and some swing passes which went for big yardage. Still, outside of one poor choice and subsequent interception, the rookie was poised and promising.

Scouting Report. QB. Daniel Jones. player. Pick Analysis. New York Giants. 28. 31

2020 stats: 520 yards | 63.0 completion % | 2 TDs | 3 INTs | 6.4 YPA | 50.5 QBR

Last Week: 25

Jones has to stop with the turnovers. Against the Chicago Bears, Jones had two more turnovers, bringing his total to four. With Saquon Barkley out, the Giants need him more than ever. At Soldier Field, he attempted only one pass over 20 yards.

Mitch Trubisky. 27. player. 57. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. Chicago Bears

2020 stats: 432 yards | 59.4 completion % | 5 TDs | 2 INTs | 6.8 YPA | 53.8 QBR

Last Week: 28

Trubisky has been good in three quarters this season. The other five have been a mess. The Bears struggled to put the Giants away on Sunday, largely because of two second-half interceptions. Chicago is winning, but Trubisky isn’t playing well.

Miami Dolphins. Ryan Fitzpatrick. 26. Scouting Report. QB. player. 59. Pick Analysis

2020 stats: 519 yards | 66.2 completion % | 2 TDs | 3 INTs | 6.7 YPA | 69.0 QBR

Last Week: 29

A week after throwing three interceptions, Fitzpatrick took care of the ball in a shootout loss to the Buffalo Bills. The veteran threw for 328 yards and two scores while completing four passes over 15 yards in the air. It was a good day despite the loss.

Pick Analysis. Baker Mayfield. player. Scouting Report. QB. Cleveland Browns. 25. 53

2020 stats: 408 yards | 59.7 completion % | 3 TDs | 2 INTs | 6.6 YPA | 80.2 QBR

Last Week: 26

Mayfield was excellent on the script against the Cincinnati Bengals, going 6-of-7 for 105 yards and a touchdown. After the initial 15 plays, he was 10-of-16 for 114 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Browns need more consistency, but his last outing was a positive step after the blowout in Baltimore.
