Jamal Adams will give up on Quandre Diggs entirely if he gets ejected again.

Quandre Diggs needs to stay in the damn game for Jamal Adams’ sake.

Diggs was ejected from the Seattle Seahawks‘ Week 2 victory over the New England Patriots for his hit on wide receiver N’Keal Harry. Adams was less than thrilled to see his teammate miss the rest of the game. In the type of extreme pettiness we love, Adams has threatened to unfollow Diggs on Instagram, Twitter and delete his phone number if he ever gets ejected again.

You do not want Jamal Adams to give up on you like he did the New York Jets.

As a man who has had a nice 15-minute conversation with Adams on the phone, I can’t think of a worse thing in the world than to be ghosted by the greatest safety in the NFL today. It was only a phone interview last year, but he did tell me that Derek Stingley Jr. is the next star of DBU and not Grant Delpit, and I will always be appreciative of that type of insight from Adams.

Can you imagine if Diggs spears Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb or any other pass-catcher on the Dallas Cowboys in second run of the 2020 Bird Gauntlet? They would have 13 more regular-season games to play together. If that’s the case, it’ll be as awkward as Fleetwood Mac’s recording sessions for Rumors. Hopefully, it’ll be as culturally impactful as the iconic album.

If Adams refuses to acknowledge Diggs’ presence in the same secondary because he got ejected once more, it would make for one incredibly cringe-worthy photo session for The Legion of Boom, Part Deux’s album cover. What if the Seahawks go on to win the Super Bowl with two defensive backs not exactly on speaking terms? It’ll be better than Eugene Robinson down in Miami.

When you play in the NFL, it’s not just about winning, it’s about being cool. There are very few things you can do that are cooler than being friends/teammates with Adams. Would you rather spend your free time with Mr. Unlimited or kick it with Prez? The choice is yours, but it may not be entirely up to Diggs if he feels the need to get ejected again like he’s Vontaze Burfict or something.

Adams will lose your number if he thinks you are trying to make his new team lose games.
