New York Jets (0-2) at Indianapolis Colts (1-1), 4:05 pm

Jets: A team that won six of its final nine games a year ago has been nothing short of dreadful on both sides of the football out of the gate in 2020. The Jets have gained the fewest total yards in the league after just two games and the offense has produced just three touchdowns. Adam Gase’s team has been outscored 42-6 in the first half.

Colts: The team rebounded from their Week 1 loss at Jacksonville by shutting down Kirk Cousins and the Vikings. Matt Eberflus’ defensive unit has gotten off to a solid start in terms of harassing opposing quarterbacks, already totaling seven sacks in two games. It could be a rough afternoon for struggling Jets’ quarterback Sam Darnold.

Carolina Panthers (0-2) at Los Angeles Chargers (1-1), 4:05 pm

Panthers: Carolina’s losing streak has now reached 10 dating back to last season. Yes, running back Christian McCaffrey will be out for a few weeks. But the real issues continues to be the other side of the ball. In their last six contests dating back to Week 14 of ‘19, the Panthers have given up at least 30 points in six consecutive outings.

Chargers: Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert was an unexpected starter last Sunday against the Chiefs and showed his mettle. He hit on 66.7 percent of his passes (22-of-33) for 311 yards and one score (1 interception), plus ran for another touchdown. But running back Austin Ekeler could be the player to watch vs. Carolina’s shaky run defense.
