Odell Beckham celebrating after he saved Baker Mayfield from an INT is epic

Odell Beckham, Jr. switched positions to defensive back, if only for a play
Despite Baker Mayfield’s bounce-back performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 on Thursday Night Football, he still has a lot to prove. Mayfield’s Browns face the Washington Football Team this week in what ought to be another winnable game for a Cleveland team hoping to take a step up in the AFC North standings.
Mayfield might owe Odell Beckham, Jr. a steak after he took a Washington interception off the board in the first half. Baker threw a deep ball to one of his favorite targets in Beckham, but undershot him considerably. The result should’ve been an easy pick for Washington, were it not for Beckham, who is evidently one of the best defensive backs in the game.
The best part of this play is not the play by Beckham itself, but his celebration after the fact. OBJ knew there was virtually no way he was going to make a catch on the play, but switching over to defensive back put him in the mindset of other LSU products. The Tigers are DBU for a reason, so Beckham probably has some experience at making plays just like this in practice.
The Browns early-season schedule is doing them some favors. After a tough loss to the division-favorite Ravens in Week 1, Cleveland’s been able to play Cincinnati and now Washington in back-to-back weeks. That won’t always be the case, but if the Browns can earn some of that much-needed confidence heading into the meat of their schedule, it’ll pay volumes against tougher opponents, such as Pittsburgh and Baltimore remaining on the slate.
