team. 13. . 1-2. Previous: . Los Angeles Chargers. 18

Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert would get his second consecutive start as the books welcomed the Carolina Panthers to Los Angeles. He threw for 330 yards and one score but he was also sacked twice, fumbled twice (losing 1) and was picked off. Austin Ekeler totaled 143 yards from scrimmage and ran for one score while veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen was targeted 19 times and caught 13 passes for 132 yards and a TD in the losing effort.

2-1. Previous: . Las Vegas Raiders. 17. team. 28.

The Silver and Black headed east to Foxborough for the first time since 2014 as they took on the new-look Patriots. The Raiders had dropped their previous five meetings in this series but their offense was off to a good start as Jon Gruden’s team put 34 points on the board in each of their first two games. But the Las Vegas’ offense didn’t spend a lot of time on the field thanks to three turnovers (2 by Derek Carr) and 250 yards rushing by New England.

53. . 2-1. Previous: . Cleveland Browns. 16. team

Kevin Stefanski’s Browns had a little extra time to prepare for the Washington Football Team. In their last outing, Cleveland put 35 points on the board and held off the Bengals. They responded with 34 points and got a lot of help from their much-maligned defense, which sacked Dwayne Haskins three times and forced him into four turnovers and totaled five takeaways in the 14-point win. Nick Chubb carried 19 times for 108 yards and a pair of scores.
