Sean McVay’s team was looking to start 3-0 for the third consecutive year as they headed east to Orchard Park to take on the 2-0 Bills. With no answers for Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen, the Rams were down 28-3 in the third quarter before they began to find the end zone on a regular basis. And Los Angeles actually owned a 32-28 lead with 4:30 to play. But the defense bent a little too much late and McVay’s club fell for the third time this year.

team. 48. . 2-1. Previous: . Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 11

The Bucs were on the road for the second time in three weeks and looked to make it two straight wins as they headed to Denver. Bruce Arians’ club played a solid overall game on both sides of the football as Tom Brady threw for 297 yards and three scores and the team played turnover-free football. Todd Bowles’ defensive unit, led by Shaquil Barrett, finished with six sacks and the 2019 All-Pro outside linebacker dropped Jeff Driskel for a safety.

10. team. 42. . 2-1. Previous: . San Francisco 49ers

Nick Mullens got the start for Kyle Shanahan’s injury-riddled team as the Niners played at MetLife Stadium for the second consecutive Sunday. And he responded with 343 yards through the air and one score as San Francisco exploited the Giants’ defense for 420 yards while playing turnover-free football. The 49ers’ defense, minus Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas up front, limited New York to 231 total yards and collected three takeaways in the win.
