The defending NFC South champions had a rough go of it in Sin City on Monday night. Now the Saints returned home to take on the formidable Packers in a prime time showdown. Running back Alvin Kamara had a busy first half and Drew Brees threw a pair of TD passes before intermission. But ultimately, Sean Payton’s club could not keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ efficient offense, managing only a field goal in the fourth quarter.

The Steelers were looking for their first 3-0 start since 2010 as they took on the struggling Texans. Pittsburgh’s pass rush produced 10 sacks in the team’s first two games and got to Deshaun Watson five times while forcing him into a fourth-quarter interception. Mike Tomlin’s club trailed 21-17 at halftime but limited the Texans to 51 total yards and shut them out in the second half. Pittsburgh did not commit a turnover for the first time since Week 10 of ‘18.

7. team. 47. . 2-1. Previous: . New England Patriots

Off a tough loss at Seattle, the Patriots returned home to face the 2-0 Las Vegas Raiders. Jon Gruden’s team had scored exactly 34 points in each of their first two contests but the New England running game (250 yards on 38 attempts) and opportunistic defense (3 fumble recoveries, 1 for a touchdown) were too much for the Silver and Black. Rex Burkhead ran for 49 yards and one score and caught seven passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
