Fantasy Football stars and studs in Week 3: MVP contenders dominate
Russell Wilson/Tyler Lockett
Wilson has been conspicuous by his absence from this list so far in 2020. After another spectacular effort, he can be omitted no longer.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback mercilessly attacked a helpless Dallas Cowboys secondary with stunning results in a 38-31 thriller in which he threw the winning touchdown pass to D.K. Metcalf.
Wilson had 315 yards passing and five touchdown throws, netting him 36.8 fantasy points, his third successive 30-point haul of the season.
Key to Wilson’s incredible start to the season has been wide receiver Lockett.
Metcalf may have clinched the victory and brings more big-play upside, however it is Lockett who is unquestionably Wilson’s top target and their rapport was there for all to see against the Cowboys.
Lockett was on the receiving end of three Wilson touchdown throws, bringing in nine of his 13 targets for 100 yards and a total of 37 fantasy points in PPR scoring.
Wilson has already targeted Lockett 29 times this season and the results the pair have combined for mean he will continue to look for the former third-round pick early and often.
Fantasy owners fortunate to have both Wilson and Lockett on their roster can expect to be in the hunt to be playing for it all come Week 16.
