FanDuel NFL 2020: Best lineup for Week 4
By Nick Villano
Tight End: Mike Gesicki $5,700
Tight end is a position that is one for the bargain bin. The most expensive tight end this week is Travis Kelce. He’s been as consistent as tight ends can possibly be, but he still only had 11 points in Week 3. The second most expensive tight end Mark Andrews has one 20-point week and two weeks with under four points. It makes sense to try and get a deal, and the Miami Dolphins’ Mike Gesicki is exactly that.
He’s also been pretty inconsistent in the Ryan Fitzpatrick offense. He had 23 points against Buffalo in Week 2 but failed to reach 10 points in his other two matchups. However, against Seattle he has a chance to shine.
The Seattle pass defense has been gashed by just about every they’ve faced so far this season, despite the addition of Jamal Adams in the offseason. Speaking of Adams, he is dealing with a groin injury that could keep him out this week. That would be huge for Gesicki. Seattle hasn’t given up a lot of points to tight ends yet, but that’s because they’ve faced Hayden Hurst, Ryan Izzo, and Dalton Schultz. Those offenses have much better weapons at their disposal.
Gesicki has a chance to lead all tight ends this week. The injuries don’t stop at Adams. Quinton Dunbar has a knee injury, Delano Hill is dealing with back soreness, and other parts of the Seattle defense are laboring going into Week 4.
Also, Miami receivers DeVante Parker and Preston Williams are dealing with their own injuries, so Fitzpatrick might lean on Gesicki more than usual.
Other options:Mo Alie-Cox $5,300, Darren Waller $6,700
