George Kittle is back practicing with the 49ers after sitting out two weeks with an injury.

The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with a slew of injuries to players all over the roster so far this season. Jimmy Garoppolo missed Week 3’s game against the New York Giants and was joined on the injured list by George Kittle.

Kittle has not played since Week 1 when he suffered a knee injury. That has him sitting with only four receptions for 44 yards on the year. Luckily for the 49ers, games against the Giants and New York Jets have allowed the team to amass a 2-1 record up to this point.

Another winnable game lies ahead this Sunday night against the 0-2-1 Philadelphia Eagles and while more injuries continue to pop up, Kittle is finally back at practice.

George Kittle finally back on the practice field

The 49ers just put up 36 points on the Giants with backups playing in several key position, including quarterback. Getting a healthy Kittle back spells doom for an Eagles team that just tied the Cincinnati Bengals and essentially gave up at the end of overtime.

Deebo Samuel is also back at practice as the 49ers begin to get some familiar names back on the field. Kittle’s return comes at a great time considering fellow tight end Jordan Reed is out 6-8 weeks with his own knee injury. The 49ers got banged up on the turf at MetLife Stadium, which is a whole other storyline to break down.

Kittle signed his five-year, $75 million deal this offseason and the team is waiting for him to live up to the cash.

A return against the struggling Eagles could be what he needs to finally get going in 2020.
