2. Dan Quinn

The Falcons should have fired Quinn for his massive incompetence in the team’s stunning collapse against the Cowboys in Week 2. The team’s performances in other games this year haven’t been much better. All in all, it’s borderline amazing to think that Quinn is still in charge of this talented roster.

As a reminder, Quinn came to Atlanta with a reputation as being one of the league’s most formidable defensive coordinators. His inability to elevate the Falcons on that side of the ball has been shocking. The unit has allowed 38, 40, and 38 points in their three defeats.

If Quinn can’t elevate the defense to respectability it’s fair to wonder what he’s actually doing for the franchise. The offense pretty much runs itself with Matt Ryan at the helm. Quinn deserves a modicum amount of credit for keeping that group on track, but it’s not as if that’s translating to any meaningful wins for the franchise.

The combination of Quinn’s weak work with the defense and even weaker game management efforts should doom him to unemployment in the very near future. He only lands at No. 2 on this list due to the laughable efforts of one of his peers.
