The Indianapolis Colts should be on upset alert in Chicago

There were few fan bases freaking out more than Colts’ fans in Week 1. Indianapolis, a favorite in the AFC South, lost on the road to Jacksonville to send supporters spiraling, but the Colts regained their mojo the past two weeks with some home cooking.

Two dominant wins have moved the Colts to 2-1 on the season, but it is worth mentioning that they were never seriously challenged in either game. The Jets and Vikings are a combined 0-6 to this point while Jacksonville has lost its next two games, signaling that the Colts haven’t exactly faced murderer’s row so far in 2020.

The Colts step up in weight class this week when they travel to Chicago to take on the 3-0 Bears, who have just switched from Mitchell Trubisky to Nick Foles at quarterback. Oddsmakers have installed the Colts as 2.5 point favorites largely based off of their previous two performances, but sleeping on Foles and the Bears is a mistake.

Foles is actually a much better fit for Matt Nagy’s offense and should be able to stretch the field against Indianapolis’ vulnerable secondary. The Bears’ defense should also be able to challenge the Colts’ offense in a game that could easily go in Chicago’s favor as the home team.
