2. Josh Reynolds, Los Angeles Rams

Reynolds set season-highs across the board in Week 3 (four receptions for 60 yards-five targets; 62 snaps-90 percent snap rate). But the Rams were also in comeback mode, and Reynolds has just seven catches on eight targets through three games.

The camp buzz around rookie wide receiver Van Jefferson has not led to Reynolds playing less yet (66.8 percent snap share through Week 3, according to Football Outsiders). Jefferson’s snap share is trending down, but it’s worth wondering if (or when?) that will change.

Reynolds is in the final year of his contract. Not that he’d expensive to re-sign, but the Rams have drafted his theoretical replacement as their No. 3 wide receiver. In 51 career games through Week 3, he has played 60 percent or more of the snaps 17 times. With their significant cap obligations going forward, trading Reynolds on an expiring contract for any kind of draft pick has to be on the radar for the Rams.

Reynolds would not be an inspiring acquisition for the Packers, as fans who don’t mine the depths in fantasy football say “Who?” But as a piece of the equation, he can certainly be useful, and Rodgers’ history elevating lesser-touted wide receivers should be noted.
