The Houston Texans fell to 0-4 in controversial fashion against the Minnesota Vikings.

Deshaun Watson, new play-caller and head coach Bill O’Brien, and anyone wearing the Houston Texans’ navy and red needed a victory against Kirk Cousins and a reeling Minnesota Vikings team to keep themselves in the picture in the AFC South.

Unfortunately, not only did Houston lose this game at home, but they lose in heartbreaking fashion.

Watson thought he’d found Will Fuller in the back of the end zone for a touchdown on a late fourth-quarter drive, but a replay review overturned the original call of touchdown and forced Houston to turn the ball over on downs, pushing their record to 0-4 in backbreaking fashion.

Will Fuller’s touchdown was negated, handing the Houston Texans a loss

While Houston’s record could be excused as the byproduct of playing three of the league’s best teams in the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Pittsburgh Steelers in consecutive weeks. However, this Vikings team was 0-3 and not doing much of anything on the offensive side of things.

Somehow, Houston found a way to lose. With the Titans 3-0 and the Colts on the rise, Houston’s chances of winning the division are all but gone.

Cousins completed 16 of 22 passes for 260 yards, 217 of which went to wide receivers Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, with one touchdown pass. Watson was tremendous once again, as he accounted for 300 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to get the win for the struggling Texans.

In the history of the NFL, only one 0-4 team has ever turned it around and made the playoffs. Given the star power on both sides of the ball, it’ll be a huge embarrassment for O’Brien unless he turns things around and becomes the second team to pull off that feat.

Next. Deshaun Watson is stuck in purgatory. dark
