Winless in their first three games, the Birds flew west to San Francisco for a prime time showdown of defending division champions. Quarterback Carson Wentz got off to a rocky start with an early interception. But he found Travis Fulgham for a 42-yard score late in the fourth quarter, Alex Singleton followed that by returning a Nick Mullens’ interception for a TD and the Philadelphia defense held off a late 49ers’ rally for their first win of 2020.

It was a third consecutive encounter with an interconference Vikings as the disappointing Vikings headed south to Houston in a clash between 0-3 teams. Running back Dalvin Cook had another big outing, running for 130 yards and two touchdowns. And wide receivers Adam Thielen (114) and rookie Justin Jefferson (103) combined for 217 of Kirk Cousins’ 260 yards through the air, the former scoring as well. And Mike Zimmer’s team held on for the win.

Joe Burrow survived eight sacks last week at Philadelphia and the Bengals managed a tie with the Eagles. Now the team returned home and took on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The young signal-caller threw for 300 yards and one touchdown with one interception. But the star of the offense was Joe Mixon, who ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 30 yards and one score as Cincinnati rolled up 505 total yards in the win.
