The Houston Texans are in need of a new head coach, as Bill O’Brien was fired after the team’s 0-4 start.

Every NFL season, there’s always bets placed on which head coach would be the first to be fired. Many had Adam Gase of the New York Jets and Matt Patricia of the Detroit Lions as the favorites to be handed their pink slips first, but it shockingly was neither. That unwanted honor belongs to Bill O’Brien, whom was let go by the Houston Texans from his head coach and general manager positions on Monday after the team’s 0-4 start to the season.

The news isn’t necessarily shocking, considering O’Brien put himself in a bad light after trading star receiver DeAndre Hopkins and surrendering two first-round selections for left tackle Laremy Tunsil. Now, the Texans organization has to find the right head coach to get the most out of franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson. Here are five options that make the most sense.

Brian Daboll was a name that was picking up steam during the head coaching frenzy earlier this year, and for good reason. He was well-regarded for his work with the Buffalo Bills offense, under head coach Sean McDermott. However, the Bills are on a whole other level this season.

Upon entering the 2018 NFL Draft, Josh Allen was viewed as a prototypical quarterback tat needed refinement, specifically with his accuracy. Through three four games this season, Allen has accumulated a completion percentage of 70.9, while throwing for 12 touchdowns and only one interception. No one, and we mean no one, saw that coming!

Based off the progression of Allen, imagine what Daboll can do working with Deshaun Watson?
