Here is an intriguing player who is being claimed quickly. Justin Jefferson was projected to be a very involved member of the Minnesota Viking’s offense when he was drafted in the first round of the 2020 draft. This was especially the case due to the trade that sent Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills.

Jefferson was used lightly during the team’s first two games. In Week 3 against the Titans, he busted out in a massive way. He was targeted nine times and he caught seven passes for 175 yards and a score.

This performance is why fantasy owners are running to claim the former LSU Tiger. But, it is wise to not be so knee-jerk here. Although, that is tough to do when he followed up that huge day with another 103 yards, four catch performance in Week 4.

Yes, that game by Jefferson was a great indication that he will potentially be more involved and that he has the big-play ability the team hoped he had.

Well, Jefferson may be in for another day like the one he had in Week 3. The Vikings play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football, and Seattle has been torched by the opposition’s passing game.

The Seahawks have already surrendered over 1,000+ receiving yards to receivers this year, and have allowed the most fantasy points to this position as well. If you have tuned into a Seahawks game this season, you know how much they have struggled through the air. That is enough reasoning to pick up and start Jefferson in Week 5, right?

Adam Thielen poses as a threat to take targets from Jefferson. Although, he does not have that ability to bust the top of defenses open as Jefferson does.
