CeeDee Lamb – Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys may be enduring a dreadful start to the Mike McCarthy era but, as Dak Prescott continues to rack up yardage in thrilling shootouts, rookie wideout Lamb is becoming an increasingly major part of the passing attack.
Lamb, the 17th overall pick in the 2020 draft, scored his first two touchdowns as a member of the Cowboys as he caught five passes for 79 yards in Dallas’ 49-38 defeat to the Browns on Sunday, which dropped them to 1-3 on the season.
His efforts were good enough for 25.2 fantasy points in PPR leagues and came two weeks after Lamb’s first 100-yard game of his career in the win over the Atlanta Falcons.
While Amari Cooper received most of the attention from Prescott as he was targeted 16 times, Lamb appears to be establishing himself as the number two receiver ahead of Michael Gallup. Indeed, Lamb had seven targets to Gallup’s five, marking the third time in four games that Prescott sent more pass attempts in the direction of the rookie.
Lamb gets another shaky pass defense in Week 5 against the New York Giants, a game for which he is worthy of starter consideration in all formats.
