Joe Mixon – Cincinnati Bengals

Mixon had been a non-factor for the Bengals for the first three weeks of the season, but he should be a featured part of head coach Zak Taylor’s gameplans going forward after dicing the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense as the Bengals claimed their first win of the season.

He racked up 151 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries while adding 30 yards and another score as a receiver out of the backfield. It was a display that saw him finish Sunday as the top points scorer in PPR leagues, edging out Kittle with 42.1 fantasy points.

His previous high had been 12.6 points in the Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns and Mixon may have difficulty replicating the impact he had in Week 4 over the coming games as the Bengals’ schedule toughens.

Cincinnati faces two imposing defenses in the Baltimore Ravens and the Indianapolis Colts before another meeting with a Browns team that now sits 3-1 following their win over the Cowboys.

That is not a schedule to spark much optimism of Mixon being among the top point scorers over the next three games, however, the Bengals’ willingness to consistently put the ball in the hands of Mixon against the Jaguars will come as welcome relief to fantasy owners frustrated by his start to the season.
