Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady is not typically considered among the fantasy stars at the quarterback position, however, only Dak Prescott had more points than the six-time Super Bowl champion in Week 4.

The New England Patriots great appears to be hitting his stride in the Tampa Bay offense run by Bruce Arians, producing an explosive performance as the Buccaneers came back from a 17-point deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers 38-31.

Brady threw for 369 yards and five touchdowns with an interception, a showing good enough for 33.5 fantasy points.

An encouraging rapport appears to be developing with wide receiver Mike Evans, who had seven catches for 122 yards and a touchdown. Brady will hope to eventually build the same kind of connection with Chris Godwin, who is expected to miss Thursday’s clash with the Chicago Bears as he continues to battle a hamstring injury.

He will have to move forward without tight end O.J. Howard, who suffered an Achilles injury that is expected to be season-ending in the defeat of the Chargers. On Sunday, though, Brady played at a level that suggests he should continue to excel despite the injuries on offense and, with the often hospitable defenses of the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Giants to follow after the visit to Chicago, Brady will have plenty of opportunities for further monster games in the near future.
