NFL quarterback rankings, Week 5: Tom Brady is still the GOAT
2020 stats: 984 yards | 72.7 completion % | 4 TDs | 3 INTs | 8.1 YPA | 64.4 QBR

At this juncture of his career, Rivers is an average starter. He still makes the occasional nice throws, hits on most of the easy ones, and looks erratic on many others. Indianapolis is better with him than Jacoby Brissett, but it’ll be a rollercoaster all year.
2020 stats: 1,095 yards | 73.6 completion % | 8 TDs | 0 INTs | 7.6 YPA | 77.2 QBR

This is a classic case of numbers vs. film. The box scores say Carr is elite. Watch the tape, and he’s constantly checking down to avoid making even the smallest mistake. There’s a reason that despite the host of talent on Las Vegas, the offense has been bad the last two weeks. The Raiders never get chunk plays.
2020 stats: 919 yards | 66.8 completion % | 7 TDs | 5 INTs | 6.4 YPA | 73.2 QBR

Murray has to step up. He’s been lousy the past two weeks, throwing three interceptions in Week 3 before going for 133 yards across 31 attempts on Sunday against Carolina. With the weapons surrounding him, Murray and head coach Kliff Kingsbury need to be far more aggressive.
2020 stats: 1,147 yards | 73.1 completion % | 4 TDs | 3 INTs | 8.1 YPA | 71.8 QBR

This has quietly been a terrific year for Bridgewater. The veteran signed a three-year deal this offseason and is earning his keep, on pace for 4,500 yards while completing almost three-quarters of his throws. Bridgewater isn’t an elite talent, but he’s certainly playing better than most expected.
2020 stats: 718 yards | 68.1 completion % | 2 TDs | 2 INTs | 7.8 YPA | 58.2 QBR

Usually, we slot in whoever started this week. However, we’ll leave Newton in over Brian Hoyer since it’s likely he’s right back in the lineup come Sunday.
