ESPN college pick em picks 6-10

(6) North Carolina over Virginia Tech:

North Carolina escaped Boston College on a wacky play, but the Eagles are not a bad team. Virginia Tech…..I don’t know what to say. They’re good. They’re bad. They’re ugly. Often on the same drive. North Carolina still has lapses, but they are good enough to overcome them.

(7) Florida over Texas A&M:

A&M held tight with Bama for about 20 minutes. Then the Tide quit playing around. Florida isn’t quite as explosive, but they are good enough to rack up a lead and hold it. A&M’s defense wont get the push needed to rattle Trask and they don’t have anyone to contain Kyle Pitts either. The Aggies will probably hang for a while, but Florida should coast away with this.

(8) Georgia over Tennessee:

The Vols’ winning streak is about to come to a screeching halt. It was a great run while it lasted and it put Tennessee back on the football map. That was something thought unfathomable about three years ago. I do think that the Vols put up a fight, but if Georgia is half as impressive as they were last week, it wont matter.

(9) Louisiana Tech over UTEP:

I know…UTEP already has more wins than in any season since 2016, but take that with a grain of salt. Two of those are against Stephen F. Austin and Abilene Christian. The FBS team they did beat has the worst run defense ever assembled. Louisiana Tech is not the team that they were last year, but they still have three good backs and some good receivers and a solid quarterback. That’s more than enough to win this.

(10) BYU over UTSA:

I like UTSA, but this is a bad matchup for them across the board. BYU looks like the most prolific offense in the country right now. Some of it is matchups, but not all. UTSA wont be able to stop them either. The Mormon train keeps rolling here.
