Running Back: Clyde Edwards-Helaire $7,900

Let’s try this again. Clyde Edwards-Helaire was in this lineup last week, but he needed to be replaced after the Chiefs-Patriots game was moved to Monday after Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19. It was an unfortunate turn of events, as Helaire was poised to gash that undermanned front seven.

This week, he takes on the division rival Raiders for the first time in his career. The Raiders are coming off two-straight losses, after an optimistic start to the season. This isn’t much about matchup. The Raiders allowed two touchdowns to Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara, then allowed three touchdowns to Rex Burkhead (one was a receiving touchdown). The Raiders allow touchdowns on the ground.

Edwards-Helaire gets the luxury of being an afterthought for opposing defenses because he’s always playing with the best quarterback in the NFL. So far this season, Edwards-Helaire is getting more and more involved with the passing game. After getting shut out through the air on opening night, he caught five and six passes over the past two weeks.

Against the Baltimore Ravens, he had 70 receiving yards, which made up for a so-so performance on the ground.
