The Jets may have gotten the best pure scorer in the draft at the 10th overall selection.

In his first season in the WHL, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Perfetti posted 37 goals and 74 points — a strong showing. However, Perfetti blew the doors off in his second season, boosting his point total to 111 while adding 30-plus assists to his scoresheet. Perfetti took his playmaking game to another level and maintained his superb scoring pace from his rookie campaign.

Perfetti is another guy who should’ve gone higher (probably around sixth overall), but the Jets caught a break similar to the Wild, as the Red Wings and Sabres went a bit off the board. I’m sure they’re absolutely fine with it.

The Jets have a bevy of scoring talent already gracing their roster, but with Patrik Laine’s future in doubt, taking Perfetti at 10 may make it that much easier to move on from the electric Finn.
