College football DFS wide receiver picks October 10:

Top Tier:

BYU has turned almost exclusively into a passing attack after trampling Navy into the ground. Go figure. I wouldn’t pay up for Romney though. This is a spot where BYU may return to the ground. The same could be true for South Carolina. Looking at the top tier of receivers, Kyle Pitts still looks underpriced.

The real place to target the Red River Shootout is in the passing game. Ehlinger and Rattler should have 100 combined pass attempts, which means Charleston Rambo, Joshua Moore, and Marvin Mims are all good plays. So is Jake Smith if he can hang onto passes this week. He would have had a huge game against TCU last week if he could have hung on to one or two more.

DraftKings finally adjusted the price on KeSean Carter, and it could even be an overcorrection. He is now the highest priced Texas Tech receiver. He does lead the team in targets and touchdowns though, so it’s hard to argue. Now we have to think before we roster him though. If Bowman is out, I’ll probably shy away from Carter at this price.

Middle Tier:

Last week Billy Kemp was a running back at $4,000. Now he’s a receiver that will cost you a cool $6,000. He might still be worth it. Kemp has 17 receptions on 27 targets in two games and one of those games was against Clemson. On volume alone, Kemp is still worth the price.

Don’t look now, but there’s another tight end piling up a ton of receptions. Hunter Long has 25 receptions in three games in Boston College’s newfangled passing attack. Checkdowns are going to be prominent against Pitt’s defense, so Long is one of my favorites this week.

Kearis Jackson has taken advantage of all of the attention that George Pickens is getting from opposing defenses, though the latter has scored the touchdowns and not Jackson. I like Jackson over Pickens here if you’re going to use one against Tennessee.

If Jordan Addison is out, Taysir Mack is a steal for the price. If Addison is in, I like him for the high number of targets, but they decreased some with Mack on the field. If Pickett plays like he did last week, both are viable options.

Bargain Shoppers:

Erik Ezukanma probably has the highest floor of the Texas Tech receivers even though he wont break a slate like Carter could. I really like his price down in the value tier regardless of who starts at quarterback. T.J. Vasher is probably the most talented, but he only caught two passes last week.

Quentin Johnston is the guy for TCU that can take the top off of a defense. He has a very low floor, but his ceiling is huge for a guy priced this low.

Kellen Mond found himself dumping the ball off to Jalen Wydermyer often against Alabama. Florida’s defense is similarly tough, so Wydermyer should be in for a nice game again at a very low price.

With both Seth Williams and Eli Stove ailing heading into this weekend, Anthony Schwartz could be in for a huge game for Auburn. Even if only one of them sits, he’s still a great bargain at his price.

There is no reason for Tony Poljan and Lavel Davis to be just $4,000. Davis is a matchup nightmare for anyone and is a threat to score every week. I love him in GPP formats.
