Sunday, Oct. 11

Carolina Panthers (2-2) at Atlanta Falcons (0-4), 1:00 pm

Panthers: The team is now at the .500 mark and its defensive unit has look a lot better in the back-to-back wins over the Chargers and Cardinals. After giving up a total of 65 points in losses to the Raiders and Buccaneers and allowing eight offensive TDs, the club has permitted a combined 37 points and given up five offensive touchdowns.

Falcons: The club is off to a 0-4 start but playing the Panthers could be something that cures what ails Dan Quinn’s club. He took over the Falcons in 2015 and owns an 8-2 record as head coach vs. Carolina, including five straight wins in this series. During that stretch, Atlanta has outscored their NFC South rival by a combined 146-67 count.

Cincinnati Bengals (1-2-1) at Baltimore Ravens (3-1), 1:00 pm

Bengals: The team continues to make strides on a weekly basis. The team scored 33 points in a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday and running back Joe Mixon (180 yards from scrimmage, 3 touchdowns). Zac Taylor’s 1-2-1 team has been very competitive and has scored exactly as many points (99) as it has allowed.

Ravens: Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson has made three starts vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. In those games, he’s completed 49-of 69 throws for 609 yards, three scores and only one interception. But he’s really killed this divisional rival with his legs, running a combined 43 times for 332 yards and three TDs – one in each contest.
