NFL quarterback rankings, Week 6: Derek Carr makes a statement
2020 stats: 1,375 yards | 64.3 completion % | 12 TDs | 4 INTs | 7.0 YPA | 60.5 QBR
Last Week: 7
When Brady wasn’t forgetting the down, he was decent against the Bears. Chicago got pressure throughout and the absences of O.J. Howard and Chris Godwin were apparent, but Brady wasn’t the reason for Tampa Bay’s loss. That would be the unending parade of penalties.
2020 stats: 1,372 yards | 71.7 completion % | 8 TDs | 3 INTs | 9.0 YPA | 75.1 QBR
Last Week: 9
After being crushed locally and nationally for all of 2019, Goff has rebounded splendidly. Yes, he still needs to be heavily supplemented by the run game and use play-action, but Sean McVay has done a nice job giving him a great gameplan, and Goff has executed.
2020 stats: 949 yards | 63.7 completion % | 9 TDs | 2 INTs | 7.0 YPA | 75.4 QBR
Last Week: 4
Let’s take about Jackson. The reigning MVP has struggled much of this season to replicate his previous form. Right now, Jackson isn’t hitting big plays. Last week against the Bengals, Jackson didn’t complete a single pass over 15 air yards. Baltimore’s offense hasn’t been the same, and neither has Jackson, who is also on pace for 761 rushing yards after amassing 1,206 last year.
2020 stats: 1,326 yards | 70.9 completion % | 12 TDs | 1 INTs | 9.0 YPA | 87.1 QBR
Last Week: 6
Boy, Allen has a major opportunity to showcase his talents to the country. Buffalo is on national television on Tuesday against the Titans and then next Monday with the Chiefs coming to western New York. He’s been an MVP-level player so far. Can he keep it up? Two big games ahead.
2020 stats: 1,474 yards | 63.7 completion % | 13 TDs | 1 INTs | 7.6 YPA | 86.3 QBR
Last Week: 2
Mahomes drops to No. 3 on the list. He wasn’t bad against the Raiders (340 yards, 3 total TDs) but Kansas City’s offense is out of sync, and Mahomes isn’t helping by drifting out of the pocket and causing protection issues. The Chiefs certainly aren’t struggling because of Mahomes, but he’s been lackluster — by his standards — the past two games.
2020 stats: 1,221 yards | 70.5 completion % | 13 TDs | 0 INTs | 8.7 YPA | 92.6 QBR
Last Week: 3
Rodgers is regaining his previous form. He’s taking shots and when they aren’t there, he’s not forcing the bomb. He’s been more willing to throw underneath and let the game unfold. Most importantly, Rodgers continues to work beautifully with Davante Adams out and no other top target to work with. Phenomenal stuff.
2020 stats: 1,502 yards | 72.8 completion % | 19 TDs | 3 INTs | 8.4 YPA | 75.6 QBR
Last Week: 1
Right now, Wilson is the MVP without argument. Nothing else to say.
