2021 NFL Mock Draft: Falcons replace Matt Ryan
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders came away with the shocking win of the weekend, going into Arrowhead Stadium and defeating the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. For quarterback Derek Carr, it was his first win in Arrowhead, and could be a sign that the Raiders have finally turned the corner as a franchise.
Looking at their defense, they still need help in the secondary, and while Jeff Heath had a big play on Sunday, drafting Jevon Holland at No. 22 makes sense. He could team with Johnathan Abram to give the Raiders a dynamic young duo at the position, and they have already gotten younger, and more talented at corner.
The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss in quite some time on Sunday, as the Las Vegas Raiders went into Arrowhead Stadium and matched them blow for blow. Sitting at 4-1, there is no reason to panic within Chiefs Kingdom, as they are still one of the best teams in the league, and a likely favorite to return to the Super Bowl.
On Sunday, the Raiders were able to get pressure on Patrick Mahomes, so with the No. 23 overall pick, they may want to add to their offensive line. Dillon Radunz is a guy who can come in and start right away, though with the Chiefs having Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz on the roster, they could bring him in and help him develop until he is ready to take over.
The Cleveland Browns look legit in 2020, as Baker Mayfield and company look explosive on offense, and have an MVP candidate along the defensive line in Myles Garrett. The move to Kevin Stefanski at head coach has paid off so far, but they have a long way to go in what should be a very tough AFC North.
Up front, the Browns need to get better in the interior of their offensive line in front of Mayfield, and Creed Humphrey is an exciting offensive line prospect. He blocked for some Heisman Trophy winners, including Mayfield at Oklahoma, and is a guy who could play center, or guard at the next level.
