FanDuel NFL 2020: Best lineup for Week 6
By Nick Villano
Running Back: Jonathan Taylor $7,300
The Indianapolis Colts offense has been a mess the past few weeks. Philip Rivers is throwing way too many bad throws, and some of those will end up as interceptions. It hurts the offense as a whole when Rivers’ bad decisions are taking them off the field. It especially hurts Jonathan Taylor, who’s having trouble getting into a rhythm.
The Colts offense is going to change a little bit this week. The team knows it needs to rely on the run a little more to take the pressure off Rivers. Taylor is going to get a bulk of the carries to alleviate the offense.
They are facing a Cincinnati Bengals team that’s allowing 159 yards rushing per game. Only three teams have allowed more this season. Taylor is this expensive because of the opponent in front of him. The Cleveland Browns ran all over them, led by Nick Chubb’s 122 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bengals also just lost defensive tackle D.J. Reader with a quad injury. That opens up more holes up the middle for a North-South runner like Taylor. He’s going to find those holes a lot easier this week than he has in weeks past.
Even if the Bengals game plan for Taylor to dominate, they will still have a hard time stopping him. The offensive line is still one of the best in the NFL. The Bengals are out of their league in this matchup of offensive line versus defensive line. That will help Taylor get going, and expect at least one score in this game.
