Tight End: Cameron Brate $4,800

The tight end position is a wasteland this week. Mark Andrews is the top option at the position, then it’s a huge drop off to Tonyan and Zach Ertz. The higher-priced options don’t do a lot to instill confidence, so it makes a lot of sense to take another risk at tight end and go for someone on the cheap side. Cameron Brate is one of the best values on the board here.

Brate is obviously getting a much bigger role in the Buccaneers offense after the injury to O.J. Howard. Brady loves his tight ends, and with Rob Gronkowski getting into rhythm, he will use the two tight end set even more. This could give Brate big plays in the red zone.

Brate had two targets going into last week’s game. He had yet to build chemistry with his new quarterback. Last week, he had six targets. It’s clear things are moving in the right direction for Brate, and now he can take the next step in this offense.

The Packers aren’t bad against tight ends, but they can be hurt by them. Against the Detroit Lions, T.J. Hockenson lead the team in receiving with 62 yards. It’s not something to go home about, but it shows this team can have flaws against the position. Brate and Gronkowski could reveal those flaws since the Packers secondary will be focusing on Evans and possibly Godwin.

Other Options: Hockenson $5,700, Mike Gesicki $5,600
