Detroit Lions (1-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4), 1:00 pm

Lions: Matt Patricia’s club had an extra week to prepare for its first interconference foe of the season. And the challenge for the Lions’ defense comes in Jacksonville running back James Robinson, who ranks 12th in the league with 333 yards on the ground (3 touchdowns). Detroit is allowing an NFL-high 170.3 rushing yards per game.

Jaguars: The turnover bug continues to bite young quarterback Gardner Minshew, who last season played in 14 games and threw for 21 scores but was picked off six times and lost seven of his 13 fumbles. This year, the 2019 sixth-round pick has totaled 10 TD passes but has six of the club’s seven turnovers – four of those interceptions.

Atlanta Falcons (0-5) at Minnesota Vikings (1-4), 1:00 pm

Falcons: As of Thursday, the team’s facility had been shut down after one positive COVID-19 test not involving a player (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter). On the field, the winless Falcons have allowed 15 TD passes, tied for the most in the NFL. Current interim head coach Raheem Morris has seen the club total just two interceptions and seven sacks.

Vikings: It’s been a rough start for Mike Zimmer’s team and quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has been sacked 13 times in five games and just as many turnovers (8) – seven of those interceptions – as touchdown passes. But the usually-accurate veteran is only completing 64 percent of his passes – down noticeably (69.1) from a season ago.
