NFL Week 6: Trends which will decide each game
Monday, Oct. 19
Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) at Buffalo Bills (4-1), 5:00 pm
Chiefs: After allowing just 70 points during their 4-0 start, Andy Reid’s club was tagged for 40 points in an eight-point setback to the Raiders that ended the team’s 13-game overall winning streak. The Chiefs permitted just 34 first-half points in their first four games before giving up a combined 24 points in the first two quarters on Sunday.
Bills: Sean McDermott has to be concerned about a defense that has struggled in recent weeks. The Bills managed to hold off the Dolphins, Rams and Raiders but were pushed around by the Titans. A team that finished third in the NFL in total defense and fourth vs. the pass in ‘19 is ranked 17th and 24th, respectively, after five weeks of play.
Arizona Cardinals (3-2) at Dallas Cowboys (2-3), 8:15 pm
Cardinals: Kliff Kingsbury’s team righted the ship last week at the expense of the winless Jets. The Cardinals have allowed a combined 45 points in their three wins while permitting a combined 57 points in losses to the Lions (26) and Panthers (31). But Arizona has just three takeaways and has forced zero turnovers in three of their five games.
Cowboys: Andy Dalton will make his first start for the Cowboys and it will be interesting to see if he can not only lead the team to a win but if the club scores at least 30 points for the fifth consecutive game? Meanwhile, Dallas has allowed 30-plus points in four straight contests and is surrendering an NFL-high 36.0 points per outing.
