Clemson football star quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the perfect prospect but he showed vs. Georgia Tech that he is indeed not perfect and is human.

Trevor Lawrence is not perfect, but he’s pretty darn close.

The Clemson football star went nearly a full calendar year without throwing an interception but that streak came to an end in the first half vs. Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Trevor Lawrence throws first interception in 364 days

Lawrence snapped his streak of 367 passes without an interception when Zamari Walton picked him off in the first quarter. Lawrence’s last interception came on Oct. 19, 2019, vs. Louisville. He was only 13 passes away from breaking Russell Wilson‘s record of 379 passes from 2008-2009 when he was at NC State.

This is clearly Lawrence tanking for the New York Jets so they don’t take him with the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

All jokes aside, Lawrence quickly recovered after Clemson recovered a fumble after Georgia Tech tried to convert a fourth down on the ensuing possession, going 3-for-3 with 53 yards passing and a 34-yard touchdown to Davis Allen to extend the Clemson lead to 24-7.

After that score, Lawrence was 11-of-15, for 211 yards and three touchdowns to go with his first interception in nearly a year. Clemson is rolling vs. Georgia Tech who can claim the interception vs. Lawrence as a moral victory as it looks like the Yellow Jackets are going to get steam-rolled the rest of the way.
