Surefire Flex Starters

  • Stefon DIggs, Buffalo Bills wide receiver, is 1.1 FFP away from 100.  He has been targeted 51 times, caught 36 passes for 509 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Next Monday night’s game will be a major test for Diggs and the Bills as they face the NFL champion Kansas City Chiefs.
  • Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, was quickly targeted by quarterback Andy Dalton after starting QB Dak Prescott left the week 5 game due to an injury.  Cooper caught a critical 15-yard pass from Dalton in Dallas’ game-winning drive against the New York Giants.

Riding the Bench

Note:  These “Flex” players have week 6 ”Byes”.

Underrated

  • Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles running back, is showing signs of returning to 2019 form, as he ran through the Steelers defense.  Sanders set the tone early with a 74-yard touchdown run in the 1st quarter.  He finished with 11 carries for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Sanders is averaging 17.1 FFP per game.

Overrated

  • Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams, was projected as at least a Tier 2 wide receiver in the fantasy football draft preview .  However, Kupp’s numbers have suffered from an offense that spreads the ball around to multiple receivers.  A good example is tight end Tyler Higbee leads Ram receivers with 3 touchdown catches.

“Flex” Sleeper of the Week

  • Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver,  is extremely dangerous once he catches the football.  Though he caught only 3 passes against Las Vegas, Hill averaged 26 yards per catch.  Expect Hill to be targeted more Monday night against the Bills and improving on his 18.7 FFP per game average.
