Surefire Starters at Team Defense/Special Teams

  • The Baltimore Ravens swapped places with the Indianapolis Colts in team defense and special teams once the week 5 results. Before last week’s games, Indianapolis was No. 1 and Baltimore was No. 3.  The Ravens held the Bengals and No. 1 2020 draft pick, Joe Burrow to a field goal in a 27-3 victory.

Note:  These teams have week 6 ”Byes”.

  • Las Vegas Raiders team defense/special teams
  • Los Angeles Chargers team defense/special teams
  • New Orleans Saints team defense/special teams
  • Seattle Seahawks team defense/special teams

Underrated

  • The Denver Broncos have the No. 7 defense according to pro-football-reference.com.  The Broncos are No.  6  against the run and No. 7  against the pass.

Overrated

  • The Philadelphia Eagles team defense and special teams were slated to be better this year with the addition of players like former Lions cornerback Darius Slay.  Unfortunately, their defense has slipped to No. 24, which makes them a “non-starter” in fantasy football.

Sleeper Team Defense/Special Teams of the Week

  • The Tennessee Titans did a mighty job of stuffing the Buffalo Bills offense Tuesday night and moved up to the No. 4 in team defense. Tennessee hosts the Houston Texans and should be able to score at least 10 FFP in this week 6 game.
