3 quarterbacks the Vikings should replace Kirk Cousins with

Winston had the least amazing 5,000-yard season in NFL history during his final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as his impressive 33 touchdowns were nullified by a laughable 30 interceptions. Humbled and unable to find a spot as a starter, Winston chose to take a backup behind Drew Brees with the New Orleans Saints.
With game time hard to come by and the Saints remaining loyal to Taysom Hill, Winston getting traded to Minnesota isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Winston is trying to cut down on his bad habits, but he is still in possession of a rocket arm and enough athletic ability to consistently twist out of pressure to make plays. At this point, Cousins doesn’t have either.
The turnovers are still a concern, but Kubiak’s offense has been able to help quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub minimize risky throws while still going down the field with regularity.
In sharp contrast to a Bruce Arians attack that had Jameis go deep every play and the most conservative passing gave every made in New Orleans, Winston could find his happy medium under Kubiak in Minnesota. It might take a draft pick to make this happen, but Rick Spielman should make this move.
